Man! How great it has been to be home-basking in the sunshine-actually just "my life-as-usual"!
Of course Carol is busy, busy, busy!!! and of course, BW is back to work-(I don't know what work is or what he does all day-but I am ALWAYS glad when he returns and I let him know it too!).
Yesterday, Carol cleaned out her old desk and put it outside and someone pulled up and took it away!! She has all these boxes full of stuff all ready to "go to goodwill", I guess they need it more than she does. The buzz is still about selling the house-about getting a motorhome-about retiring-about Portland-about everything but laying around, basking in the sunshine-THAT'S what I am all about!!!
So, I will add my two bits- ATTENTION: HOUSE FOR SALE in SPRINGTOWN, TEXAS 76082
please call 817-220-0105 for details.
and I'll add a few pictures for intrigue!!!
So, until next time
may the sun always shine enough for basking!!

January 4, 2008-

Man this year has really taken off!! (still don't know what a "year" is but what I do know is that mealtime seems to come around quicker these days!!)
We have all recovered from the 10 hour ride home-I slept most of the way, so of course it seemed quick!! When I was awake, all Barney and Carol could talk about was the possibility of living and working in Big Bend-there is still much to consider but fantasy-worthy material never the less!! I know I would fit in-everyone just loved me!! and considering my grass allergy-pooping on rocks is something I could really get used to!! Maybe I could eventually find that fox!
I appreciate every one's continued interest in my blog-knowing you enjoy it gives me constant energy for the effort-but now that we are home, my energy will be directed towards chasing birds, intimidating cats and chasing my "EDDIE"-and of course sleeping a great deal in every spot of sun I can find!!
I am including a few parting shots of the sunrise on the Chisos right before we left-and a few more shots you might enjoy!!
Big Bend is a big and beautiful place-do try to visit-HEY-when we move here, you will have even more reason to come!!!!
signing off-

January 1, 2008-

Well, everyone slept late-Terry felt a little better-Ann came and we went to the Terlingua annual"Pea Off"! A contest for the best black eyed peas, and boy were they good! It was another beautiful sunny day, Carol and BW met a nice lady named Mimi- she seems to know everyone here and speaks to them all, using really nice words and she especially liked me!!! She wants Carol and BW to move down here and run her espresso/snack shop-I think they just might do it!!! There a lots of puppies here so seem to like me-they always smell me (I actually smelled pretty good till I got here-but hey, they smell the same as me, so we must all be in the same club-maybe they will let me join in with their dog games when we move here.)So, after the winner was announced we left and came back to Terry's and BW climbed a mountain-and he found the big black pigs Mr. Fricker told us about today-they live in a cave---OOOOOO that's scary!!!! probably with those big spiders!!!OOOOO!!
Well, it has been an extremely good road trip-but I am looking forward to my back yard and routine again.
Carol slips me a little drink that makes me so sleepy when we are going to be in the car all day and I saw her mixing it up for tomorrow-NO I do not do drugs!!! just herbs!!!
I'm down for the count-Ya'll take care going to work tomorrow
Love to you from the sleepy puppy!!

January 1, 2008-

Happy New Year!! Everyone! Whatever a year is???!!!!seems to be a really big deal to people-wonder if it is like a biscuit?? now THAT is a really big deal!!!!
It seems as though when the big moment was about to hit, Carol was already to grab BW and kiss him and he had to sneeze and blow his nose-the moment kinda went limp, but he recovered fast and lips locked eventually-she even kissed me(woke me up though). We all jumped into bed and snuggled because uncle T doesn't use the heater, Carol said he was a "Silas Marner", but to look at this place you would think he has hundred's of dollars and could afford a little wood-oh well, so much for what a puppy knows- but we all slept well and dreamed of our visit to Terlingua on Monday. We went all over the place (had to be on the damn leash but..."it was for my own good", especially since this HUGE spider strolled by-YIKES!!!! we even spent a lot of time at a place called the Questa Blanca, those must of been the small white mountains in front of the Chisos where Terry has some land and Carol has been wanting to put a trailer on part of it ever since T said she could-so I will include a photo of Carol and me in front of the "mine shaft" where the welding shop and trailer will go and another photo of Bw which will depict our view from the trailer-pretty cool and quiet too. So much to smell, I have been in sensory overload since we got here!!
Some of you might not know that Terlingua is a ghost town and there are as many ruins as there are liveable structures-and people even live in some of the ruins (they REALLY want to be here).
I don't know, my pads are like snow white and I have to get them washed every damn time I get into the car and onto the bed-I snuck a nap on one of T's silk chairs before Carol saw me-and WOW I won't do THAT again. So that is all I know about Terlingua-welcome back my friends to the show that never ends...come in side, come in side.......
