New Years Eve!!
We strolled up to Larry and Teresa's house this evening to watch the sun go down on the Chisos-what a sight!
Later, Carol and Barney got all spruced up and went to the Starlight for dinner-thought I would add these photos before the years end-I'm one tired puppy!!!

Greetings from TERLINGUA TEXAS!!!!!
I hear that today is the last day of the year (whatever a year is!!) seems like it is a big deal-I just know that the sun is hot and the wind is nadda-i do not like wind!! Carol and Barney had a great breakfast-their friend Ann from Lajitas came to join them and brought T some things called Vicks-don't know if that will keep him from hic-upping (he has been doing that for 3 days now!!! not a happy camper) He sat in the sunshine with me for awhile and they subsided, but now they have come back.
Carol loves the only radio station here -101.1 -KYOT! she said Linda and Stuart's favorite songbird, Eva, has been playing all morning. Gee- I haven't seen them since Sedona. And the Grace people. I like 'em!
I am fixin to go for a ride in T's red truck with Barney, we are going to deliver the trash-maybe I will see that fox that keeps pooping in the driveway-he smells like a clever guy. Then we are going to something called the Longdraw-maybe thats the something like the "Lucky You" party that Carol and Barney missed the other night-people!!can not figure them out!!!
Don't know if they are going to Lajitas for the New Year's party-they say they really prefer Terlingua's Starlight to anything in Lajitas-we didn't go to Terlingua yesterday-went to Lajitas instead-they took a million pictures, so I will share the best ones with you.
Going to Terlingua this afternoon, to meet Mimi and see her inn, the La Posada Milagro?? the miracle inn-they say she needs some innkeepers-hmmmmm. Check out her website http://www.laposadamilagro.com/
Well we are OUTA here, so hope this was a great & memorable year for everyone-until 2008

Sunday afternoon--
It is just the most beautiful day here in Terlingua!!!
I have been in the sunshine almost all day-even had a picnic out here!! Carol and BW have taken charge of this place-poor T is sick, like they were a few weeks ago-but never fear-Carol has an arsenal of goodies to help him heal-even brought the aloe Puffs for his nose!! BW has been all over-Carol fixed a great breakfast and now we are going for a drive, probably to the Terlingua store to get Joshua a birthday surprise!!
We are planning to be going to Lajita's for a new years dinner and party with Ann and Miss Elle, do not know if T will feel up to it-anywho, here are a few pics we took this morning. AHHHH, nothing like the Chisos at dawn!!!

Oh my!! They ALWAYS say "we'll be up and outa here by 3:00am- RIGHT-wrong-how about 7;00am!!! Oh well, no sweat off of me-I just hang out watching those two run around like crazy!!
You would think we would be gone another month!!
Ok, we are ON THE ROAD AGAIN!!! gOT Eric Clapton doing his Cream thing on the cd- and we are on I-20. Nope, gotta stop-get ice and OH no there they go again, jumpin' out clicking that little box agin-this is gonna take FOREVER!!!
Well, we've stopped in Abilene and God bless her, no chicken for breakfast-everyone is having a egg mcmuffin-miracles DO happen-roadtrips and McDonalds-that is my kinda good time.
I've settled back for the long ride-the music has changed to Peter Gabriel.....zzzzzzzzzz something about shocking a monkey....hmmm....wonder how a monkey would taste????...zzzzzzzzzz
Ok, something about oil wells, home of George W. (maybe that is some kind of jerky!!!)
We got off of I-20 and here come the Glass Mountains and the sky here is so blue and full of funny looking clouds. We are headed to Terlingua from Alpine, it is still light but the sun is falling fast. Barney has never taken pictures of the rocks in Big Bend using a digital so he is like going NUTS!!
Here we are-uncle T is waiting for us-what a paradise we have arrived at-beautiful foliage-newly planted pansies just waiting for me to hike my leg on!!!! And-WAIT-what is that scent??? And THAT one! Oh my I am in heaven!!! New things to smell over and over again!! and I am going right over and lay a nice little steamer on T's drive way!!
It is going to be a great trip!!!

Hey! How has ev eryone been??Did ya have a great summer and fall?
We just kind of just "cruzed" on through the last 6 months-didn't really go anywhere or do anything! That was just fine with me-I was just Poodle-e-pooped from that long adventure.
Lately, Barney and Carol have just not been themselves!!! They even slept in separate bedrooms for awhile-that really confused me-I didn't know where to sleep!!! they were both coughing their heads off-things were just really not good for me!! I missed all their attention so much that I started chewing on myself and THAT really got me alot of BAD attention. Anywho-things were just starting to get better-Carol and I were sleeping late again-Barney was going to work-the sun started coming out again and WHAM-were going on another roadtrip!! Carol jumped outa bed this morning and called Barney-at 10:00!! and said "Let's go to Big Bend for New Year's!! He said "Hell Yes! and she started flying all over the place-cooking stuff and dragging suitcases outa everywhere (glad she baked my favorite biscuits yesterday). So, I just had my bath and I'm like all ready to gop-my sleeper is in the car with a clean sheet on it, so I'm set. Now if those two will get their act together! Yea, right-Barney is still trying to figure out which CD's to take and Carol has packed WAY too many clothes!
Well, I'll be ready to go at 4:00 am I don't know if they will be-now--where did I put that chew bone??????

Ahhhhhhhh!!! Home again!! I am so excited to be back home (although I think I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO WAS TIRED OF ALL THAT DRIVING!!!!!).
My own bed, my own back yard..... I do miss the sweet touch of Lynda, the kind smile of Jenny, the playful way Nathan had when we ran together, the feel of the wet sand under my paws, sleeping on the deck under the Arizona stars, the vastness of the Redwoods, the cool of the Oregon mountains and the moist flavor of the Subway oven roasted chicken breast!!!!! Not to mention being with Carol and Barney 24/7!!!! I haven't really let Carol get too far away from me since we landed Sunday, but she did have to go to Central Market on Monday to get food and she brought me some pretty special treats when she returned!!
All in all, I think I have changed some....I've learned to listen and obey better and I eat when told to or I might not have another chance for awhile!!
Barney went right back to work and found everything just as he had left it!! Carol got busy with unpacking and washing and calling all her friends to let them know we were back in Texas!!
I was happy to see Connie and Katie (our friends from across the street).
So, I hope they got all that traveling stuff out of their system for awhile....and I think I will just stretch out on my bed and nap......gee, I wish they would quiet down.....what could they be talking about.....sounds like they are excited about something else.....OH- NO! they are talking about the NEXT ROAD TRIP...something about October....going to New England...for the foliage...to see Lynda and Stuart....then to see Maureen in Kentucky...WOW I better get rested up for this....it will be here before you know it!! East coast here we come!!

Tonight is our last night at a motel! in Vega, Texas of all places!!! Don't get me wrong-I have loved traveling all over the place, I just didn't like all the traveling!!!
We left Sedona yesterday and arrived in Gallup, NM about 7:30-we didn't have to go that far, so dinner was sandwiches and more chicken for me-this new batch is real tasty!!
I loved being at Carolyn and Dave's home in Cornville(we arrived there behind Lynda, Stuart, Nancy and Frank) after driving down from the Grand Canyon. Lynda was especially nice (of course she missed little Bella who was back in New York with Angie) and she petted me alot and talked real sweet to me-what a gentle touch she has!! No wonder she and Carol have been friends for so long, they have been catching up on everything.
The house was real nice and open-it reminded me of being at Terry's house in Big Bend-alot of dirt and cactus-they even had these stickers that I learned real fast to stay away from!!! (I have gotten to be a pro at peeing on rocks).I liked the deck most of all, it was about 6 feet high and faced west-OH MY GOODNESS the sunsets were spectacular!!! I enjoyed laying real close to the edge and watching Carol freak out!!!
At night, Carol, Barney and I slept on the air mattress we brought from Oregon( I enjoyed it when we were at Nathan's, so I was excited to see it being blown up again).
The next day we went into the town of Sedona and walked around taking pictures of all the fascinating red rock formations and we hiked to a vortex area-I had to stay in the car but Carol came back real fast-she said Lynda hiked all the way up and sat in the middle of everything-she said she felt wonderful!! We went to a nice outdoor cafe and ate lunch -I got to sit at the table again-I ate a whole chicken breast! They must of been as full as I was because everyone was quiet on the way back to Cornville.
Our last day there was spent driving to the town of Prescott (we drove through a great artist town called Jerome, but we didn't get to stop). They all went to the old Prescott hotel and Saloon to eat lunch (I had to stay in the car this time-poo) and it must of been pretty good because they all had to walk around alot more afterwards!! Nice city park though-all shady-and full of dogs!!
When we arrived back at Cornville, Carolyn had arrived from Phoenix with her dog Hubi-he was nice enough, but he was only a pup and I have really outgrown all that "puppy playing" stuff-so I hid in the car until the next day when we left about 11:00. I watched as everyone hugged and kissed each other and OH the picture taking started again-I didn't think we would ever get on the road!! I settled myself into my crate for a long quiet nap and before I knew it they were hauling all their stuff into another motel room and it was all starting over again!!!
Carol keeps saying we are going home but I will believe it when I see it-supposed to be tomorrow sometime.
I really don't know where home is anymore-this whole adventure has been very mysterious to me. Maybe this is how life is now-I don't know what to expect anymore. So, I have started eating every time they do, because I have learned if I don't it will be a long time before I get another chance, that pretty girls really love to pet cute, cuddly white dogs and I always get a bath on Friday!! I guess that is enough to know-eating, loving and being clean!!
