December28, 2008-
Now, it is raining!!! All the pretty snow is turning into dirty slush-yuck!! the icicles are all dripping constantly and the snow that is left on the driveway is still frozen-so much so that we cannot walk on it. I hear that the weather for the rest of the week is more rain, snow and wind. When a guy has to pee outside, that is NOT the kind of forecast he wants to hear about!! But then I heard from Carol that the temperature in Ft. Worth was 83 the other day and the wind was really blowing-so there ya go-the weather is weird everywhere. I DO have a warm chair to lay on and Kim sent Carol the softest blanket I have ever felt (she is sharing it with me).
We did get to take one last walk around the hotel before the "thaw" began and Barney got a good shot of the Eagle out by the river-bet he is cold!!
I got a Christmas Eve bath-and did it ever feel good to be clean!!! Jenny and Nathan came over Christmas Day for blueberry pancakes and we all had a nice visit and lots of good petting for me!
Kim called Christmas day with good cheer and Susan told Barney that she and Michael are expecting a "new one" sometime in August-that was the best present ever!!!
Since we have to stay indoors most all of the time, I don't have as many adventures. Maybe next time I write I will reveal some of the many dreams that a gorge dog has when he is sleeping away the winter-not today though-I think I see someone getting their boots on, and I hear the plow removing the rest of the snow, so I'll just go see what the plan is.............maybe we can get the KIA out-it has been 10 days since we have gone anywhere!!!

December 19, 2008-
IT IS SOOOOO COLD!!! I'VE DECIDED I LIKE TO LOOK AT SNOW MUCH MORE THAN I LIKE TO WALK IN IT!!!!
I mean it- this is getting so ridiculous!!! all it does is snow, snow, snow. It is a bit much!!
I cannot even walk in it anymore!! At least the driveway gets plowed, plus the sidewalks, but to find a place to pee anymore-well-that is just out of the question. Now days, Carol sweeps her boot over the top layer and flattens it out and says " pee here" and I have no recourse-I just pee!! Same thing with the poop thing, then wham-we are up the stairs and the outing is all over. If I try to walk in the yard-EVERYTHING below my nose gets frozen-real fast!! So I now stay out of the yard. Things are getting pretty boring for me, since I don't read books, surf the Internet (heck, I am privileged to just be able to get some time to do this!!) or cook!! But Carol keeps my blankets all clean and I don't have to take a bath as much while it is so cold-so that is great!!
Since Carol and Barney are a lot taller than I am they get to go out and play in the snow. Just tonight, they walked over to the hotel and had a meal (they brought me a small tid bit and it was sooooo good). I think they are getting the hang of this "retirement" thing, although Carol would like to get out more-"soon" Barney tells her, "just enjoy this quiet time", so she does-today she made bread and a few cinnamon rolls, while Barney stays on the computer.
Well, it is time for still another nap, so I'll pick out a few pictures for you to gaze upon and I will write to you real soon!!!

DECEMBER 14,2008 -
WOW!!! IT IS ANOTHER CAPITAL LETTER DAY HERE IN THE HOOD!!!
My favorite thing in the world (except for piggy, biscuits and kitty poo) is SNOW!!!!Carol kept telling us that IT was coming and then late last night-there it was!!! Just a little at first, then BAM!! it was all over the place this morning!!!
I got to go OFF leash and I ran and ran and ran -I even stubbed my nose on a pine tree and made it bleed!!! (I actually had a real strong scent of kitty poo that I was REALLY trying to get at, but........).
Carol is baking gingerbread cookies and Barney is watching football-we don't have any place that we have to be today, except HERE, so I am going to curl up and get my feet warmer so I can go outside again. It is supposed to be much colder this week so I don't know if I will get to go out and play as much-and now the wind is blowing the snow all over the place-we can't even see the river anymore.
Oh well, I am getting sleepy, so look at all the pretty pictures and I'll get back to ya!!
